Is this a full HR system?
No. RecordSplit is not a full HRMS — there's no recruitment, applicant tracking, performance reviews, or disciplinary workflow. It's the day-to-day financial and attendance backbone: employees, salaries, advances, and attendance.
How does a salary payment affect expenses?
Every salary payment automatically becomes a linked expense — salaries and expenses never have to be matched by hand.
What happens with a mid-month new hire?
Their first month's salary is prorated automatically from their join date — no manual math required.
Is this a payroll processing service?
No. RecordSplit records salaries, advances, and attendance. It doesn't calculate tax or deductions, issue payslips, or file payroll returns.
Can my team use RecordSplit?
Yes. Invite team members as a Manager, Accountant, or Viewer, and adjust individual permissions. Team members get view access to the areas their role allows; financial edits stay with owners. Members without salary access don't see salary data.
Can employees check in themselves?
Yes — each employee checks in and out from their own login, with one cycle enforced per day, correct to the business's timezone.
